Don't Jump Back on the Bandwagon now!

Posted on: March 10, 2008 6:36 pm

This entry is addressed to every member of the media who jumped back on Kentucky's d**k once they beat Florida. Please, hop off! This Kentucky team thrives on being undervalued. What the hell kind of sports writers are these guys? They only make these "Upset Predicitions" once it is all but guaranteed to happen. I hope to God the committee makes UK a 12 seed in the tournament. An 8 seed is an all but guaranteed loss in the second round...

Projected 5 seeds:

1. Drake

2. Indiana

3. Michigan State

4. Vanderbilt

Since we played Indiana already this season, and Vanderbilt is in our conference, we would be facing either Drake or Michigan State. I am absolutely ecstatic about this. My opinion is that they would match us up against Michigan State. The last time UK and Michigan State played, there was I believe somewhere around 100,000 in attendance. Before then, it was an Elite 8 matchup, which Michigan State won in OT. I might have the dates backward on that. If Kentucky gets past this opening round game, they would likely face:

1. Stanford

2. Purdue

3. Butler

4. UCONN

I would rather see any of those teams then Stanford. We simply have nobody to match up with their 7 footers. I'd like to see Butler first, then Purdue, UCONN, or Stanford. I believe every one of those first 3 games are winnable.

A Sweet16 this year would be one of the more unbelievable stories in Kentucky Basketball history.

Don't Jump Back on the Bandwagon now!

I think they just try to not pit teams that have played earlier in the season together. So you could still play those teams, In the end none of this will matter because the seeds will likely change 100 times between now and then. If they are a 11 or 12 they would have a good shot at being one of the upsets. Uk could beat all 4 of your projected 5 seeds. IU is garbage now, MSU is inconsistent, Drake... LOL, and Vandy youve proven you can beat them (also proven you can lose though)

Don't Jump Back on the Bandwagon now!

Thats a funny title for this thread coming from you. I recall a post from you a while ago that went something like this.

Quote: "Please, KatsFan, lets not talk NCAA tournament. It will only lead to disappointment. Sure, in some alternate universe where this team played like a top 65 team, we could make it. Unless the stars align with Venus at a 45 degree angle, pluto quadruples in size and is once again recognized as a planet, and a Meteor breaks into 11 pieces in the earths atmosphere, each of which lands on the basketball dormitory of every other university of the SEC, we probably wont make it at this point. Hey, stranger things have happened! Er... wait. No, probably not."

LMAO! Seems you fell off the wagon and are now jumping back on!

I think the world ended and all of us "True Blue Fans" are in heaven! LOL

Don't Jump Back on the Bandwagon now!

How is that at all jumping off the bandwagon? All I asked is that we dont talk about the NCAA tournament. I believe at that point in time, that was a reasonable request. I never said "This team sucks, I quit, I'm never watching another Kentucky game". As a matter of fact, if you knew me at all, you would know I am among the most diehard 'Cats fans in the nation. So how about you get off my nuts, they are awful sweaty with you clamoring around, hanging on to every hope of finding something to nitpick about.

Thank you, come again.

Don't Jump Back on the Bandwagon now!

Wow, sorry to point out the fact that you posted the chance of Kentucky making the Tourney back then was about the same as the chances that a meteor would blow up all the other teams?
Hope and confidence goes along way as a fan of any team. If in the future you wont make ridiculous statements, You wont have to respond to a fan like me calling you out on them.

With that said, Lets cheer OUR Cats to another Championship! 1948,1958, 1978, 1998, can you see a chain here? 2008? We can only hope.
